My fingers twitched rapidly as they wrapped around the knife's handle. The only sound in the room was the muffled, broken cry of wild sobs escaping my mouth.

I couldn't feel the cold, dead tears streaking down my face. All there was, was the pain. The guilt and misery like a plague threatening to swallow me whole.
